- The Outworking Bill went to the UK parliament today but was scuppered by the Opposition. Opposition members who had previously given their support of the Bill decided to abstain when it came to the vote. Before the vote the Bill had appeared to have been given the go-ahead until a member of the House shouted "No" and then they moved to a vote. The Bill lost by just one vote. Thank you to all the readers of Homeworking.com who supported the campaign to get this Bill through the UK parliament by writing to their MPs. If only one more supportive MP was in attendance then this Bill would have got through despite the shenanigans of parliamentary activity.
