  I have no ideas!
  • You may already have a clear idea of the sort of work you want to do at home and a rough plan in your head as to how to achieve it. However, you may not be at that stage and feel that there is nothing you could do or offer. Entrepreneurs talk about having a USP, or unique selling point, but what is yours? You might have already taken a look at the different sorts of work you could do at home but are stuck on deciding what is right for you. Perhaps your mind is going around in circles? You could do no better than to actually stop thinking about the why, the what and the how! Do something else constructive, like change your room around or tidy up some clutter. Get really busy and occupy your mind with this physical task. Then come back to your thoughts. Be positive about yourself and focus on why you want to work from home, as opposed to finding work outside your home.

  • According to Barrie Hawkins in his book How to Generate Great Ideas (see Books), he says that everyone has the ability to generate great ideas. Of course, having great ideas leads to that USP (unique selling point) that will help you to find, or create, the right sort of work you could do at, or from home. Barrie Hawkins' book helps you to clear out your thinking constrictions and to overcome your obstacles to generating ideas.

  • Check out a good article "How to Find Work at Home" on the Work At Home website. Although this article is not about helping you with ideas, it does help by giving you an idea of where and how to look for work. Looking at this process may trigger ideas for you that work!
