• The Credit to Cash software package is described as a small business and cash flow management program for the non-financial manager. The developers of the software say that, "all business owners need instant cash control skills and knowledge to survive in today’s business environment. The Credit to Cash package gives even the least experienced owner a wide range of tools and advice to gain immediate benefit. The impression of being in control of your company is a sobering thought to those who would seek to undermine your cash flow".

• The package has three parts. The main product is 'Credit to Cash' with two free software programs 'Guide to Business & Credit Management' and 'County Court Forms'. The program is on compact disk (CD ROM) and loads automatically. The set up program was clear and simple to complete. The program uses Internet Explorer or Netscape Communicator to operate - this means that the program will run just about anywhere on any PC. The set up program put three icons on the computer 'desktop', for ease of use, and in your familiar program folder.

• The first icon is for the main letter and form package 'Credit to Cash' that includes 41 useful tools including, a vat invoice, a credit note, a statement, a customisable Terms & Conditions of Sale, a credit application form and a standing order mandate and much more.
  • Here you will find just about every form and letter you can think of! A basic package, with no frills. Easy to use, simple to enter details, print and save. This is not an accounting package. Although the forms have sequential numbering they do not act as a ledger system, like ©Sage accounting software. However, if you want a 50/50-automatic/manual system that does not need constant maintenance, this is it. Some very good forms that will teach you to understand your accounts management.

• The second icon gives you access to a free 30,000 word business & credit guide to over 100 subjects ranging from how to complete a credit application, to setting up accounts, to using the telephone and letter to collect cash, and even how to take your own legal action.
  • What is really useful is that all of the main forms and letters have links into this guide and tells you when, how and where to use each form and letter. Having the function of a 'Monthly Statement' described to you is an eye opener and a form not to under-estimate. This is an electronic book that not only informs you, but can teach you as well. This guide alone is worth the cost of the package!

• The third icon gives you access to 'County Court Forms' being, 25 Small Business Court Forms and Leaflets, making it much easier if you do decide to take your own legal action, or if you want to know how to take legal action.
  • County Court Forms is the complete processing package, again the guide gives lots of help and advice. Apparently a similar package is currently being sold on the Internet for £125.00. This package is free with Credit to Cash. Do note that these are UK specific forms.

• When you purchase Credit to Cash you also get 6 months free membership to the 'Cash Flow Club'. Membership allows you to contact a credit management expert free of charge, by either e-mail or telephone. Finally, you can also receive free upgrades of all software for 6 months.

• SUMMARY
  This is a package that has obviously been written for the SOHO market. There is a lot of useful software, advice and help for the price. What you lose is the ability for the package to work as a full blown accounting ledger. This means you will have to compile your accounts manually but if you are a small business or homeworker you will save a lot of time by not maintaining a computerised ledger! Credit to Cash holds your hand as it helps you to understand your accounts, whilst helping you to operate professionally and that has to be value for money.
