Hi, I am new to this forum so please excuse any repetition or silly questions. I am looking to become involved in PC based homework so are there any companies I should contact or avoid. I have received e-mails from Penny Sleuth who advertise seemingly easy money making schemes such as Lunchtime trader - Agora Lifestyles Ltd and betting book the Legacy by Stan Hibbert. Has anyone had experience of these? Thank you in anticipation. |

Hey Lanky Welcome to the forum. Have a go with the search facility in the left sidebar, to see if any of these have already been mentioned. Penny Sleuth (Agora Lifestyle) as you rightly point out, do not offer any 'PC based homework' only clubs and information. Playing the stockmarket is a gamble. The best possible outcome is still a possible outcome and so its legal to tell you about it. However I'm off to buy a lottery ticket - my best possible outcome is I could be a multi-millionaire by Saturday. If I managed that then yes, it would have been really easy. But how likely? Hi Chaps I'll not say anything about the lotto and chances etc. But I will agree with the stockmarket and Forex as being a gamble. I would spend a LOT of time checking out all the ins and outs BEFORE committing any money. |

Lanky Agora Lifestyles is a multi-million pound business which covers a number of different facets of business. A can't speak for the specific product you mention, however dealing with this organisation should not give you any cause for concern, however I am sure you will hear the opposite view from others on this forum who automatically will assume it's a scam, which just goes to show, that's it's best to trust your own judgement when making a decision. |

Agora Lifestyles is in fact a publishing house and one of it's titles is 'MonayWeek'. The website shows the address as being Sea Containers House, 20 Upper Ground, London SE1, which is a perfectly repectable address, even though Sea Containers are having problems at the moment. I can't see where there is any opening for homeworking from Agora, but then I have only glanced briefly at the site, and might easily have missed much of the information there. Having said that, re-read what Cheryl has said above. Ken Home Business Specialist Homeworking.com

Geebuk is having a sulk!? Some people never read whats written. Its good though, it means no matter what your IQ or your communication style, you can succeed as your own boss if you find the right line of work. I love that we are all so different. Video on the web (YouTube, 'Webinars' etc) is hugely popular because few are cut out for a solid diet of textual information. Agora is just a magazine publisher. It publishes guides, 'how to's, and club-style stuff and if written info is good for you, then thats great. I think Agora might even be the publishers of The Winners Circle - something I belonged to briefly quite a few years back - which by memory gave me a regular magazine full of addresses for competitions (the kind that turn up on soap powder boxes etc), hints on what slogan won last time, articles from serial prize winners etc. That wasn't a homeworking 'job', either. Lanky if you are looking for a learning curve and no guaranteed income, then info packed, niche market magazines are sure to be an education. If you are "looking to become involved in PC based homework" then you need to surf this forum and find something that gives ordinary people like us a working income. I hope that clarifies, for everybody. Cheryl Forum Specialist Homeworking.com

Why PC based home-work? You have restricted your location and technology. Some possible job lines are: Writing .. can be lucrative but hard work. Try writing about what interests you and look for publications which publish that kind of work. Proofreading .. need to demonstrate your skills Software development Marketing ( using web 2.0 techniques ) The problem with all of these is that you must still 'get out there' and find the work or create your own product to sell. Be careful: Avoid advance 'registration fees'. It is easy to be conned, to fall into something illegal or, at best, distasteful and to end up both frustrated and poorer. Good luck in whatever you try. There is a lot of advice through this forum and scattered across the internet. |
