John, I don't know whether you would be likely to get any results but it might be worth speaking to Trading Standards about them.
Police, I suspect, will not be interested since there is no actual evidence of any offence having been committed, but maybe you would want to have a word with them too, just to see what comes of it. At least that way there is a record of your complaint.
Do let us know what you decide, and what results you get (if any).

hi
same as normanhook, jobs for drivers are either desperate or it is a computer generating e mails!
I have just had the 3rd e mail this week offering me a job with them and asking why I have not responded. the first time they offered me a job was quite some weeks ago before my previous post on them. I have now added them to my 'report spam' filter, not sure who they are reported too, but made me feel better!

I would give you the same advice I gave normanhook; to report to Trading Standards and to your local police, but with the same provisos that TS might not appear to do much and police will generally act only if an offence is revealed.
Nevertheless, it is to the benefit of everyone that these things are brought to notice. We on this forum don't have the sanctions to impose although sheer weight of publicity is often very effective, so keep us informed.

Hi Colin
shouldn't we have a scam filter instead of a spam filter , just curious.

Jamie, CRS are an outfit who offer work to Courier Owner Drivers...
...on payment of a fee.
The work seems to be non-existent.
Yet another home-based working scam.
More information is available if you have the inclination to use the search facility. It goes back quite a while.

I just called their customer services number and was greeted by an automated system that asked me to press option 2 if I wanted to "increase" the number of driving jobs assigned to me ???? - maybe I should try the "decrease" option ...I might get a job then .....or maybe not !!

Guess what ?? - I havent ever had one job since a momenteray lapse of sanity occurred a few months ago when I parted with nearly £50.00 !!!

Deary me ....I am one of the thickest people alive .......}}

No, not thick Zelig33, just a whole lot wiser.

Thanks for sharing your experience, it will help others who might feel tempted by such schemes to beware.

Best wishes :-)

Zelig33, I do hope you will contact Mike George in the next day or so. He needs to know about people who have paid this crowd and not got work from them.
Go to Mike's last post on this thread and then send him a private message from his profile. It'll cost you nothing.

The Daily Mirror printed an article about them yesterday (http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/investigates/2007/08/23/drive-these-net-cheats-off-road-89520-19675333/)

Mike, thanks for that. It seems the Mirror have also sussed out the connection between this lot and the erstwhile Pathway set-up, and also the make escort 'service'.
Perhaps it's just as well I didn't sign up to be a male escort. I might not have earned much after they got their mitts on the proceeds - I might not even have got any work at all, despite my qualifications!

I think it's time we set up an Association of Reputable Male Escorts to show we're not associated with these scams.

Oh dear it seems that jobs for drivers is on the look out again. I have just had an e mail to say that they are aware with one or two issues re contact plus work and that they are moving to manned offices in Cambridgshire and hope to have some good news soon. May be they are going to return our £50-00 then. Rats I see a pink pig flying past my window.

Manned offices in Cambridgeshire? Well, it makes a change from Reading and Milton Keynes, doesn't it?
Any further information please do pass it on to us. One day we will actually catch up with them.

Peter, forget your £50. Sadly, that's long gone.

All the 'professional' scams go through this phase after they've been rumbled. It is designed to take the heat off and probably get a few more suckers giving them the benefit of the doubt.

The 'amateur' scammers rant and protest their innocence as soon as there's any negative publicity, which just stirs up more stories about them and cuts off the supply.

HI All,
I too paid the £50 against the wishes of my good lady. I also received an e-mail the other day saying they are setting up premises in Cambridgeshire. I have told them of the messagaes on this forum and that the net is closing in on them.
